Increasing the timeout of your website monitors
If you frequently find your website monitors are indicated as "down" due to a timeout error, you may be suffering from slow response times on your website.
You can configure a timeout — the maximum response time allowed (in seconds) before the service is marked as down. This option gives you greater control, allowing you to adjust how sensitive your monitor is to service or network slowdowns. The default timeout is 30 seconds but you can increase that up to 60 seconds if your website frequently takes longer to response.
The timeout option can be configured by choosing the monitor, clicking the context menu, clicking Configure, then clicking Settings and scrolling down to Advanced.
