Protecting Your Status Page with a Password

Some StatusGator customers prefer to keep their status page private. On all StatusGator paid plans, you can set a static shared password for your status page if the security of your monitors is a concern to you.

Here's how:

1. Sign in to StatusGator and navigate to the Status Page section.

2. Next, click on the Privacy tab and choose the "Password protected" option.

3. Enter a password and click Save. Your status page will be updated and deployed to our global edge cache. It will be available in approximately two minutes. Click Preview button to see your page. Visitors to your page will now encounter a password-protected screen and must enter the password to proceed.

We welcome your feedback on this feature. If you have any suggestions for how it can be improved, please let us know. If you're on a plan that does not currently support password-protected status pages and you'd like to try it out, please reach out to us.

If you have any questions or problems, please email us or submit a ticket.
