Use the service directory
The Service Directory is a searchable, browsable list of all services that StatusGator can monitor.
It’s a convenient way to explore supported services, grouped by category, and see their current status at a glance.
Why use the Service Directory
- Browse all supported services – See every service StatusGator can monitor, organized by category.
- Check live status instantly – View each service’s current status without adding it to your board.
- Discover new monitors – Find services you may want to track but didn’t think to search for.
- Quickly request missing services – Use the built-in request option to suggest a new service monitor.
How to open the Service Directory
- Go to your board.
- Click Add monitor.
- Select Service monitor.
- Click Service Directory on the right-hand panel.
Browsing and filtering
- Search by name – Type in the search bar to instantly locate a service.
- Filter by use case – For example, IT HelpDesk, DevOps, or Education.
- Filter by category – Choose from categories like Analytics, Authentication, Chat, Payments, Security, and more.
- View live status – Status indicators show if a service is Up, Warn, Down, or in Maintenance.
- Check component count – See how many components are available for each service.
- Spot common picks – Services you’ve already selected appear with a checkmark.
Adding a service from the directory
- Hover over the service you want to monitor.
- Click the Add button — the service will be instantly added to your Monitors list.
- A check mark will appear above the service logo, showing it’s already being monitored.
- Repeat the process to quickly add multiple monitors at once.
- Once you’ve added your services, go back to your Monitors list to adjust default settings such as display name, component filters, and notifications.
Requesting a service
If you can’t find the service you need, click the Request button in the top-right corner of the directory.
This will open the Suggest a New Service Monitor form where you can submit your request.
