Change a monitor’s name or icon

You can customize a monitor’s display name and icon to make it easier for your team to identify services in your Monitors list and status page.

Why change the name or icon?

Customizing the display name or icon is useful when:

• You want to use a shorter or more recognizable name (e.g., "GSuite" instead of "Google Workspace").
• You need to follow internal naming conventions (e.g., "CRM – Salesforce").
• You want to use a custom icon that matches your company’s branding.

Change a monitor’s name or icon

1. Go to the Monitors page.
2. Find the monitor you want to update and click the three-dot menu.
3. Select Configure.
4. Under Display Name, update the service name as you want it to appear.
5. Under Icon, click Upload to add a PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF file (up to 500kb).
6. Click Save.

The updated name and/or icon will appear in your Monitors list and on your status page.
